Komunikasi Antar Budaya Dalam Kehidupan Sehari-Hari
Abstract
Intercultural communication is essential for interactions around the world as it helps to understand, cooperate, and build relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds. The delivery of information is not the only factor that determines the success of intercultural communication; people communicating with others must also have an understanding of cultural standards, communication styles, and the language used. This communication consists of visual, written, verbal, and non-verbal elements. Language misunderstandings, biases, and stereotypes that hinder interaction are some of the barriers that often arise. Emotional intelligence, empathy, and the role of cultural mediators are important to bridge these differences. Individuals can improve their cultural intelligence (CQ) through intercultural training and education, as well as adaptive approaches. Ultimately, this will reduce conflict and strengthen harmonious social interactions. Therefore, intercultural communication is essential to improve global cooperation.
