Pengaruh Resistensi Training Terhadap Body Image Index (BMI) Pada Pasien Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 di Puskesmas Sidorejo Kota Lubuklinggau
Abstract
The appropriate Diabetes Mellitus therapy to prevent the development of the disease is physical exercise or resistance training. The research problem is that there are still many cases of DM at the Sidorejo Community Health Center, Lubuklinggau City. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of resistance training on body image index (BMI) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Sidorejo Community Health Center, Lubuklinggau City. This research uses quantitative research with a pre-experimental type of research. The population was 308 people and the sample was 10 people. The types of research data are primary and secondary data. Data analysis in this study used paired t test statistics. The average value of body image index (BMI) in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients before treatment was 25.20. The average value of body image index (BMI) in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients after treatment was 24.40. There is an effect of resistance training on body image index (BMI) in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at the Sidorejo Community Health Center, Lubuklinggau City with a value of 0.000 ? 0.05. Patients are expected to be able to apply resistance training regularly so that blood sugar levels remain normal and do not increase the severity of the complications that arise, but they must pay attention to the type of exercise chosen for diabetes treatment that is appropriate to the patient's individual clinical profile.
