Abstract

The Community Service (PKM) activity was conducted by Ir. Kurniadi, M.T. in Kemiri Village, Panti District, Jember Regency, in collaboration with students from KKN Group 15, Batch 14, STDI Imam Syafii Jember. The activity focused on waste management efforts through the provision of more appropriate and easily applicable waste-burning facilities for the community. This activity was carried out based on observations of the existing waste management conditions in the community and the need for facilities that could help reduce waste accumulation. The program included the construction of waste incinerators in six hamlets and the installation and demonstration of a Rocket Stove at Kemiri Market. The activities were conducted through coordination with the village government and local community, followed by the construction and installation of the facilities and demonstrations on how to use the equipment so that it could be properly understood and utilized. The results showed that the availability of incinerators in six hamlets and a Rocket Stove at Kemiri Market could serve as an alternative solution to help the community manage waste, particularly waste that is difficult to handle through conventional methods. In addition to providing facilities, the activity also increased community knowledge and understanding regarding the use of the equipment and the importance of implementing better waste management practices.
