Pengaruh Pemberian Ikan Gabus (Channa striata) Terhadap Penyembuhan Luka Pasca Sectio Caesarea

Abstract

Background: Wound healing after Sectio Caesarea (SC) often takes a long time and can be hampered by factors such as anemia and infection. Cork fish (Channa striata) is known to have a high albumin content, which plays an important role in accelerating the wound healing process through tissue regeneration and increasing protein levels in the body. This study aims to evaluate the effect of cork fish on post-SC wound healing through a systematic literature review. Methods: This study was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review method by reviewing relevant literature related to the effect of cork fish extract on post-SC wound healing. Databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect were used to search for articles published from 2019 to 2024. Inclusion criteria included studies that addressed the effect of cork fish on wound healing, especially in patients post SC surgery. Data were systematically included and analyzed based on the effectiveness of cork fish extract on various wound healing parameters, such as reduction of inflammation, increase in albumin levels, and acceleration of wound closure. Results: Of the 7 articles reviewed, 7 studies met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed further. Most of the studies showed that administration of cork fish extract significantly accelerated post-SC wound healing. Increased albumin levels in the body help accelerate tissue regeneration and reduce inflammation in the wound. Conclusion: Based on a systematic review of the literature, cork fish has been shown to be effective in accelerating post-SC wound healing through increased albumin levels, accelerated new tissue formation, and reduced inflammation. Therefore, cork fish can be recommended as a natural nutritional supplement that supports the wound healing process in post-SC patients.
