Pengaruh Gelar Pendidikan Terakhir Terhadap Umur dan Gaji Menggunakan Analisis MANOVA
Abstract
Educational degrees are often considered as an indicator of the quality of human resources that can affect the amount of salary received. In addition, the length of time spent completing a higher level of education can also affect the age at which a person enters the workforce or reaches the peak of their career. To see the effect of education degree on both variables simultaneously, the Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) method is used, which allows the analysis of differences in more than one dependent variable simultaneously. Before conducting the MANOVA analysis, several assumption tests were conducted including the normality test to ensure multivariate normal distribution, independence test for and homogeneity of variance test to check the uniformity of variance between groups. Once the assumptions were met, MANOVA analysis was conducted to test the effect of education degree on salary and age. If there are significant results, a multiple comparison test (LSD) will be used to identify which treatment has a significant effect. Based on the tests that have been carried out, the results show that the education degree, salary and age data meet the assumptions of multivariate normality and the salary and age data are dependent and meet the homogeneity of variance-covariance. MANOVA testing obtained that the decision to reject H0 which is then continued in the multiple comparison test and obtained that at age and salary there is a difference in influence between each treatment.
