Abstract

Employees in Indonesia are one of the important components of the country's economy. They play a role in various industrial sectors, ranging from manufacturing, services, agriculture, to information technology. In recent decades, Indonesia has experienced rapid economic growth, which is largely supported by the contribution of a diverse and dynamic workforce. In development in Indonesia, of course, there is a role for society here besides the role of the government, this role is in the service sector (workforce). According to Article 1 number 2 of Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning employment, labor is every person who is able to do work to produce goods and/or services to meet their own needs or for the community. Labor is very much needed in development in Indonesia from after the proclamation of independence until now. Labor in Indonesia currently really needs social security for themselves, because with the social security they receive, they will be more focused on carrying out their duties until they are completed. With the social security provided, it will increase the welfare of the workforce itself and have a good impact on the survival of their families later if one day a work accident occurs from the workforce when they are carrying out their duties, the family can enjoy financial assistance from the government through this social security.
