Abstract

The implementation of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector in Indonesia aims to improve transaction efficiency and facilitate the recording of financial statements. This study aims to analyse the impact of QRIS implementation on transaction efficiency and financial statement accuracy among MSMEs in Indramayu Regency. Using quantitative methods, this study involved 120 MSME respondents who have been using QRIS as a payment method for at least three months. Data was collected through structured questionnaires, interviews and documentation and analysed using descriptive statistical techniques and simple linear regression to determine the impact of QRIS on transaction efficiency. The results showed that the use of QRIS significantly improved transaction efficiency in MSMEs, as indicated by a 50% reduction in transaction time and the ease of keeping more accurate financial records. However, there are some barriers to the implementation of QRIS, such as dependence on the Internet network and the need for training of MSME actors in its use. The conclusion of this study is that QRIS has a positive impact on improving the operational efficiency of MSMEs in Indramayu Regency, although there is a need to improve internet infrastructure and training programmes to maximise its use.
