Abstract

The development of information technology and digitalization in the modern era has changed global communication patterns, creating opportunities and challenges for intercultural communication. This research explores how digital technology affects cross-cultural interactions, as well as its role as a bridge and a barrier in communication. Using a qualitative approach, this study explores the experiences of individuals in intercultural interactions in the digital world. The results show that, although digital technology facilitates interaction and increases intercultural tolerance, differences in cultural context, stereotypes and language barriers can lead to misunderstandings. Individuals with high cultural awareness and communication skills tend to be more successful in adapting and utilizing technology to build positive relationships. This research highlights the importance of cross-cultural understanding to support a respectful global community.
