Pengaruh Latar Belakang Pendidikan Orang Tua Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam Pada Peserta Didik Kelas VIII SMP N 5 Koto Balingka
Abstract
This research was based on the problems encountered, such as low motivation to learn about Islamic religious education of students, low level of education of students' parents, low value of students' learning of Islamic religious education because parents did not understand their children's learning so they could not accompany them in learning. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence and how much influence parents' educational background has on the motivation to learn Islamic religious education in class VIII students at SMP N 5 Koto Balingka.This research is an ex-post facto type of research with a quantitative approach using correlational study. The subjects in the research population were all 30 class VIII students at SMP N 5 Koto Balingka. The sample for this research is the entire population because if there are less than 100 subjects then it is better to take all of them. Data collection techniques use questionnaires or questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the normality test, homogeneity test. Then the hypothesis test was carried out using the t test and coefficient of determination. Data processing uses SPSS 26. The self-test results obtained were Tcount of 3.396 and Ttable of 1.669 and the significant value of parental educational background was 0.003?0.05, meaning that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. So it means that parents' educational background influences the motivation to learn Islamic religious education of class VIII students at SMP N 5 Koto Balingka. Meanwhile, the coefficient of determination (R squer) is 0.330, so the influence of parents' educational background on motivation to learn Islamic religious education in class VIII students at SMP N 5 Koto Balingka is 33%.
