Isu-Isu Pernikahan Dalam Perspektif Gen Z
Abstract
This study examines Generation Z (Gen Z) perspectives on contemporary marriage issues, exploring the shifting values and priorities of Gen Z perspectives on marriage. Using qualitative descriptive methods, the study involved in-depth interviews with 8 university students in Semarang, Indonesia. The results show the complexity of Gen Z's views on marriage, which are influenced by social, religious, economic, cultural and technological factors. The majority of respondents still want marriage, but with a more cautious and reflective approach to various things. Gen Z emphasizes the importance of mental, emotional and financial readiness before marriage. The influence of social media is revealed to be significant in shaping perceptions about marriage, including concerns about issues such as divorce and domestic violence. Gen Z tends to support equal roles in the household and the importance of open communication. The study also reveals tensions between traditional and modern values in Gen Z's views on marriage. These findings have important implications for policymakers, educators and practitioners working with Gen Z youth, highlighting the need for a more responsive approach to Gen Z's unique needs and perspectives on relationships and marriage.
