Abstract

Zakat is an important instrument for promoting social welfare and reducing economic inequality. Optimizing the role of zakat requires adequate amil capacity in collecting funds, managing administrative processes, and distributing zakat to eligible recipients in accordance with Islamic principles. This community service program aims to strengthen the capacity of amil at the Aisyiyah Branch Leadership (PC Aisyiyah) in Pamekasan in carrying out these three functions. The program is designed using a participatory approach involving partner needs identification, material delivery, discussions, simulations, assistance in developing administrative tools, and evaluation. The assistance covers zakat collection strategies, recording fund receipts and expenditures, report preparation, prioritization of eligible beneficiaries, and evaluation of distribution programs. This program is expected to improve amil knowledge, strengthen administrative governance, enhance transparency and accountability, and establish more structured collection and distribution strategies. The success of the program should be assessed by comparing the partner’s conditions before and after the assistance, including changes in participants’ understanding and the implementation of zakat management tools. Therefore, strengthening amil capacity is expected to serve as a strategic step toward improving the professionalism of zakat management and expanding its benefits for the community.
