Peran Pembimbing Kemasyarakatan Dalam Penanganan Anak Yang Terlibat Pengedaran Narkotika

Abstract

Children are the nation's next generation and are the nation's assets in the future which must be supported by good educational facilities regarding science, ethics and national insight. The character, nature, personality of a child is created depending on the surrounding environment or the circle in his life. The problem of narcotics abuse and narcotics trafficking is a serious threat to society and social welfare in many countries around the world, including Indonesia. One of the more worrying aspects of this problem is the involvement of children in drug trafficking. Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics threatens with a high prison sentence, but children have their own criminal justice system, namely the existence of Restorative Justice in accordance with what is stated in Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System by resolving the case through diversion. In the case of children in conflict with the law, Community Officers have very important roles and functions such as Guidance, Supervision and Guidance regarding compliance with regulations. Community officers must collect information about children in conflict with the law, then in social guidance or assistance, community officers encourage children in conflict with the law to be able to re-integrate with society without any negative things that could cause the child to re-offend.
