Pendidikan Islam Pada Zaman Khulafa Al-Rasyidin

Abstract

Islamic education during the reign of Abu Bakar As-Siddiq and Umar Ibn Khattab experienced rapid progress, but during the leadership of Utsman Ibn Affan and Ali Ibn Abi Tholib Islamic education did not develop rapidly due to the many chaos that occurred. The benchmark for the progress of a world civilization is seen from the progress of education. The era of the Khulafaur Rasyidin became the forerunner for the formation of the center of world civilization that contributed to the progress of world civilizations, so the author considers it necessary to discuss Islamic Education in the Era of Khulafa Al Rasyidin. The results of the study show that Islamic education during the era of the Khulafaur Rasyidin. Islamic education during this era is divided into four periods, namely: the period of Caliph Abu Bakar as-Siddiq, the period of Caliph Umar bin Khatab, the period of Caliph Usman bin Affan and the period of Ali bin Abu Thalib. Islamic education during the Abu Bakar period is the same as the implementation of education during the period of the Prophet, both in terms of material and educational institutions. Education in the Umar bin Khatab period experienced progress because the government of this period was in a stable and safe condition, besides that the material had also been developed. Education in the Usman bin Affan period did not experience development when compared to the Umar bin Khatab period, because there was unrest from the community as a result of Usman's displeasure in appointing his relatives in government affairs. While in the Ali bin Abi Thalib period, education did not experience development because during this period there were rebellions and wars.
