Peran Pendidikan Konservasi dalam Membangun Kesadaran Lingkungan Pada Sekolah Dasar di Era Globalisasi Guna Mewujudkan SDGs

Abstract

This study explores the role of conservation education in building environmental awareness among elementary school students in the era of globalization to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The lack of awareness and concern for the environment is a primary cause of increasing ecological degradation. By integrating conservation education into the elementary school curriculum, students are taught the importance of protecting ecosystems, biodiversity, and reducing the negative impacts of human activities. The research method used is a literature review, examining relevant studies on the implementation of SDGs in the curriculum. The results indicate that conservation education not only provides knowledge but also involves students in practical activities such as recycling, tree planting, and energy-saving campaigns. This approach aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land). Thus, conservation education at the elementary level plays a crucial role in shaping environmentally conscious generations and instilling sustainability values for a better future.
