Pentingnya Mahasiswa Perantau dalam Pemindahan FASKES BPJS: Studi Kasus di Puskesmas Padang Bulan

Abstract

Health is a universally recognized human right for every individual, including students who often migrate away from their families. This study aims to increase students' awareness of the importance of making BPJS Health Facility transfers when continuing their education. Students often face obstacles in accessing health services because they have not made a health facility transfer to a new domicile. The process of transferring health facilities is considered complicated and takes time, so students who are less aware of the importance of this often experience difficulties when they need health services. This study was conducted at Puskesmas Padang Bulan, Medan, using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results showed that the lack of awareness and information regarding health facility transfer procedures contributed to the problem of accessing health services. Therefore, collaboration between BPJS Kesehatan, educational institutions, and puskesmas is needed to improve socialization and provide clear information to students. This increased awareness is important to ensure students can optimally utilize available health services, thus supporting their health and academic performance.
