Analisis Hasil Sambungan Las SMAW Pada Material Base Plate Dengan Variasi Jarak Kampuh Las dan Arus
Abstract
Weld joint strength is the subject of this study. Welding was performed with currents of 90, 100, and 110 A and clearances of 2 mm and 3 mm. The weld joints were measured by tensile tests on the resulting material. The results showed that there were fewer weld defects in the welded joints with a 2 mm seam allowance than in the 3 mm seam allowance. The material with a current of 90 A has the highest weld strength, which is 61.39 mm, and the material with a current of 100 A has the lowest weld strength, which is 53.22 mm.
